Hello, everyone, we are finally in the spooky season! I’m pretty sure the majority of those who know me know that I love Halloween. This month will be anything and everything about Blogtober. Blogtober is where many bloggers from all niches write anything from Halloween related to finances to fashion.
In this post, I will mention a few things on why I love Halloween so from further ado here are things why I love Halloween.
- Halloween decoration
I’m a sucker for Halloween decorations and anything that is cute or creepy is on my decor apartment. I use Pinterest to have some ideas and inspiration. You can see some of my Halloween mood board.
- Baking treats
Okay, I may not be the best baker like many of the food bloggers since mine can easily go on the Netflix show Nail it! But…it is pretty edible. Lately, I’ve been doing more vegan-friendly baking treats like vegan chocolate chips and brownies. And I just love sharing it with my friends and colleagues.
- Colder weather
As some of you know, I live on a tropical island and I complain about the humidity. So no longer dealing a daily 100 degrees fahrenheit is amazing. Is like getting blessed no more sweating. I can finally wear leggings!
- Pumpkin Spice
I don’t have to explain my love for pumpkin spice. My local barista knows my usual order during autumn season. I tried the pumpkin spice with cream cheese muffin from Starbucks and I really love it. I do plan sometime to learn how to make one.
- Costume and FX makeup
Last year with the beginning of the pandemic I didn’t really celebrate but this year I will. I took a safer route this year in case of a lockdown. This year I plan on going to Cher from Clueless and perhaps Gwen Stefani during her No Doubt era.
I enjoy seeing people dressing up especially from historic people like one time someone dressed up as Diego Velázquez (1599-1660), Andy Warhol, and other well known figures. Of course seeing people cosplaying is also super amazing.
- Animal Crossing Halloween event
Okay, this would be my first year playing Animal Crossing: New Horizon Halloween event.
I got my Nintendo Switch Lite during the Summer as a treat myself. I’ve been playing since Animal Crossing: City Folk so I’m looking forward to Jack-O-Lantern mini games. (no spoiler please!).
- October Spotify playlist!
It’s been months since I’ve done my monthly Spotify playlist. Last year I made the October playlist (2020) so for this month of October I will be updating the playlist for the spooky season!.
- Buying new clothes and accessories
I’ve been losing weight so my clothes are getting bigger so I’m re-doing my capsule wardrobe. I mostly shop second-hand clothes like Depop or I simply go to my local thrift store but whenever I have to go to a certain place to buy clothes I usually go to Zara, H&M, and ASOS. Now for the accessories I also buy handmade locals or second-hand but lately I’ve been obsessing with Cadavras Store. Everything is handmade and the owner is a total sweeth
eart. If you’re into goth, punk, a bit of BDSM items this store is perfect for you. I’ve been buying her stuff lately from face masks, purses, and necklaces.
- The Blogtober tag
Last year I was tagged in the Hallotober tag (2020) by the lovely blogger Ofaglasgowgirl. I do hope that this year I get to do it again. Since I personally love Q&A.
There are a lot of reasons why I love Halloween but I think it’s the spirit of everyone having
their own personal reason whether it is just drinking pumpkin spice, doing some of the pumpkin carving. It’s just fun to celebrate.
