Hello, everyone, I know it’s been awhile since my last post.
I’m still here just a little bit busy with my university. Anyway, I will talk about a novel that I got myself on Amazon.
Tender Is The Flesh is a thriller dystopian novel where cannibalism is completely legal around the world.
The protagonist Marco works in a slaughterhouse and he gives you his insight into what he sees and feels.
One of his colleagues gives him a special human to raise and later on to be consume. Kinda like raisnig a chicken in a barn…
But in his case, he impregnated the female FGP’s.
FGP’s mean “head” that was born in a breeding center making the meat more tender and more savory.
Marcos knows what he did is illegal. that would get an execution for the three of them and yes, that is also including the baby.
While I’m making sure not to spoil too much of this story. I think it’s good. Originally the novel was in Spanish and it was translated to English.
I personally think I would enjoy it more if I read in Spanish but the translation did it well.
The ending is sort-of open gives you like this shock after everything he put through.
What the warning of reading Tender Is The Flesh?
Not for those who have stomach sensitive.
again, it is full of cannibalism many horrors things like rape, human testing, murder, and so on…Tender Is The Flesh is not suited for anyone.
where there are no heroes and villains it is just simply human psychological than this might be for you.
What I like Tender Is The Flesh?
The story is well written makes me question morals and human survival is something that got me intrigued.
The author Agustina Bazterrica is an amazing writer. I do want to read more of her books and what will comes next.
