Hello, everyone! I know I’ve been missing and I wasn’t really active on my social media.
But those who follow me on Twitter I’ve been tweeting about how the mural project is going.
To give a small introduction to this post. I was working on this huge project.
We only had two weeks to finish painting a mural trailer so our clock was ticking against us. It was a bit challenging but we manage to finish on time. It was a very fun experience and I would do it again. I don’t call myself a muralist but at least I can say I do have some experience.
To talk about my experience on painting the mural. It was quite a lot of fun but also tiring.
The project came from one of my colleagues who made a proposition for an event Color Caribe where many well known muralist painters will be exhibiting their artwork. Of course we don’t have a name yet in the art scene. We are just some art students but we spend two weeks non-stop working on the mural while balancing university life, jobs, and other personal matters.
Many of us would spend the whole day from 10am till 6pm painting the mural.
Recording the process and taking a break from time to time.
We are super thankful that we had very amazing and well-organized teamwork so it was a pretty chill project.
I did a short reel of the mural process. Color Caribe same goes on my TikTok account
The project went super successful. Many people gave us some good critiques and compliments and tagged us on Instagram.
Again, I’m super proud of working on this project and I do hope that I get another opportunity to work on another mural
Shout out to Iniara for being the mastermind behind all these ideas.
Here is a reel of what I recorded and of course edited during this time of process.
