In this post, I will be talking about Bistro Café.
Bistro Café is located in Isla Verde. they are open every week from 7 am to 3 pm.
Of course, I basically live in Puerto Rico. Anyway, I enjoy exploring local places that I find unique and worth the visit and I think mentioning Bistro Café seems totally worth it.
Few years ago I was recommended by a college colleague of mine where they make glitter coffee.
You heard that right glitter coffee.
There was a time when my artwork was full of glitter, my hair had glitter (until I learned glitters are bad for the environment), and every day I had a coffee but without the glitter.
After five years of trying to go with someone, I finally found the perfect foodie partner who is not afraid to try anything new. After recording the first episode of our podcast which will be coming soon!!!
We searched for a place to celebrate and Bistro Café was the perfect place to go.
My dear friend Yuyu and I decided to go for a drink first.
She ordered a mojito that came with a mojito popsicle. You get the drink and the popsicle. How fun is that?
I, of course, went for a latte because hey I love drinking coffee and this café has glitter coffee so I know I have to at least try it once.
As a coffee lover, it tastes good. It doesn’t give me the caffeine kick but it is a good kind of coffee that helps you not to fall into a food coma.
After that it took us or at least me an eternity on what we should eat.
The menu is just a brunch menu even though I found it a bit overwhelming on what to choose.
Yuyu went for a healthy Salmon sandwich without the guava sauce.
And I just went for an omelet (I forgot the name of the omelet) with a side of the blueberry pancakes.
My friend enjoyed the sandwich now on my take.
I personally would skip the omelet. It doesn’t taste bad but it was way too much and I personally don’t see myself ordering the omelet. Now the blueberry pancakes I really enjoyed quite a lot. I do see myself ordering the blueberry pancakes that taste sweet with a hint of bitterness and it’s just the way I like it.
Yuyu and I agree to go back but this time ordering one plate or share two plates due to the fact that there is a lot of food and one plate can go for two people.
The service is good, the atmosphere is good, everything is nice.
